Commercial Heating and Ventilation Design and Installation
LTHW heating, radiator and pipework replacement, air handling units, heat recovery and extract ventilation for occupied buildings across London, Essex and the South East.

We install and replace complete heating systems: distribution pipework, radiators and fan convectors, low surface temperature emitters for care and education settings, and the plant that serves them. On the ventilation side we install air handling units, MVHR, fire-rated and flat oval ductwork, kitchen extract and specialist clinical ventilation.
At Minster in Sheppey we removed an outdated one-pipe heating system across two schools and installed 95 new radiators with full new pipework in eight weeks. At Queen Elizabeth's School we designed and installed a new MVHR system for the Tech Block as lead designer and main contractor.
Heating and Ventilation: what is included
Heating distribution
Replacement of heating and hot and cold water distribution pipework, with fire stopping to service penetrations and reinstatement of finishes.
Radiators and emitters
Radiators, fan convectors and LST radiators with new valves and balancing devices, boxed in where pupils or patients could touch hot pipework.
Air handling units
Supply and extract AHUs with heat recovery, heating and cooling coils, humidifiers and attenuators, craned onto roofs where required.
Ductwork
Fire-rated, flat oval and conventional ductwork with grilles, dampers, silencers and thermal insulation, including under-floor routes with access hatches.
MVHR and extract
Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery for teaching spaces, and dedicated kitchen and WC extract systems.
Testing and balancing
Flushing, chemical treatment, pressure testing, air and water balancing and full commissioning records at handover.

Can you replace radiators and pipework during term time?
Where we can we programme the work into holidays. St Claudine's heating distribution was replaced in a six-week summer programme. Where the work has to run in term we phase it by heating circuit and work areas are segregated from pupils and staff.
Do you design the system or install to a consultant's design?
Both. We act as lead designer and main contractor on some schemes, and install to the consultant's design on others. Drawings are produced in house.
Do you install ventilation in clinical areas?
Yes. We have installed ventilation for MRI suites, an endoscopy department and a community diagnostic centre, working to Health Technical Memoranda requirements.
What about fire compartmentation when new services go in?
Fire stopping to service penetrations is part of our scope, and on hospital projects we coordinate with the fire safety officer so compartmentation is signed off.
Planning a heating or ventilation project?
Send us your drawings and specification, or call the office to discuss the programme.
