About A.C. Preou Ltd
Our company started trading in 1961, as plumbing and heating contractors. Since then we successfully completed many contracts giving us a vast pool of practical experience.
The present managing director Mr Arthur Preou is still at the helm, he started the company with two other employees. The first few years contracts undertaken were sub-contracts to builders, during this period the company applied for approved status with councils close to our offices in Hornchurch Essex.
Once we had proved our expertise and achieved “approved status”, we expanded this to encompass most of the local authorities in the greater London area along with Hospital Boards and Government bodies.
A fine quality reputation was established, this enabled the company to expand and become a Limited Company in 1964, and move into larger premises in Manor Park.
By the mid-sixties, we had an unsurpassed reputation for service and were rapidly adding to our list of satisfied clients. Efficient management control allowed the company to form a full design and contract service, and this was fully utilised in the office development field. We were rapidly becoming sought after for our installations being on time and within budget.
This experience allowed us to take on very challenging and interesting contracts. During this period we expanded our expertise and entered the Air Conditioning market. Installing only or design install systems, with chilled water and refrigeration, both piped services and ducted air system. To allow this expansion the company moved to larger premises in Romford Essex.
Currently, our Company with today’s modern technologies operates a complete computer estimating system by estimation which we have been developing with them to our mutual advantage for the past 20 plus years. We are proud to say we were one of the first three companies in the country to have a computerised estimating system.
Our more recent investment includes a computer-aided design and drafting system, based on AutoCAD. We are able to receive emailed drawings, this shows a great time saving for our client. We also have project planning software by ASTA Developments and are able to produce project programs that are carefully planned with hands-on experienced HVCA engineers, they can be easily understood, and quickly modified when required.
Our office has an advanced fully computerised network system, we are able to deal with administration quickly and efficiently. The company has always been keen to train its own employees, we do not use agency labour.
The apprentice program we operate is managed by BEST through local colleges. This gives us one of the best workforces possible, with safety reliability and quality being our priority.
