Arthur Preou founded the company in 1961, working from his home. He moved the business from residential into commercial engineering, built a strong local authority client base and incorporated in 1964. His daughter Julia Herold joined him in 1982, and his grandson Daniel Herold started on the tools in 2009.
Today Daniel is Managing Director and Julia is Finance Director. Since September 2024 the company has worked from its own offices, warehouse and workshop at Radford Crescent in Billericay, and it has grown by more than 400% under the new leadership.
