Queen Elizabeth's School, Tech Block M&E Upgrade
M&E upgrades and refurbishment of the Tech Block as main contractor and lead designer, with new MVHR and four VRF systems.

Overview
We were appointed as main contractor and lead designer for a comprehensive programme of M&E upgrades and refurbishment works to the Tech Block at Queen Elizabeth's School.
Scope of works
The project centred around improving the building's mechanical infrastructure, including the installation of a new MVHR system to provide effective ventilation throughout the Tech Block. We also designed and installed four VRF systems, providing efficient heating and cooling to the teaching spaces.
As main contractor, our scope extended beyond the M&E installation and included the management and coordination of specialist asbestos removal, allowing subsequent works to be completed safely and efficiently.
The wider refurbishment programme included new fascia panelling, classroom refurbishment works and the replacement of suspended ceilings throughout the Tech Block. We also completed extensive electrical infrastructure upgrades to support the new mechanical systems and the ongoing requirements of the school.
Outcome
Taking responsibility for both design and main contractor delivery enabled us to coordinate the mechanical, electrical and building elements as one complete package, delivering a modernised teaching environment and upgraded building services infrastructure.
