St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Domestic Water Upgrade

Project overview

We were appointed to undertake a full upgrade of the existing domestic hot and cold water services throughout the school, alongside mechanical improvements within the nursery area. All works were delivered within a live school environment, requiring careful planning and coordination to minimise disruption. The project was completed on time and within the agreed budget.

Scope of works

The project involved the full strip-out of the existing hot and cold water pipework throughout the school. We installed a new gas-fired hot water storage cylinder, along with a new incoming water main complete with a UV filtration system to improve water quality and system reliability. New hot and cold distribution pipework was installed to serve all basins, WCs and kitchen areas, with all pipework insulated in accordance with current building regulations.

Within the nursery area, we decommissioned and removed the existing combi boiler, radiators and associated heating pipework. We then installed a new electric hot water system dedicated to the nursery, together with a 10kW split air conditioning system providing both heating and cooling.

Finish

All newly installed pipework was neatly boxed in, and making good works were carried out, including final decoration, to ensure a clean and professional finish consistent with the school environment.
