Rare Dementia Support Centre, University College London

Overview

Preou completed the mechanical pipework installation works for the Rare Dementia Support Centre at University College London. The project involved comprehensive heating, domestic water and above-ground drainage installations across the facility.

Heating

Our heating works included isolating existing LTHW services and installing new distribution pipework from the lower ground floor boiler plant to risers serving Buildings 25 and 26. Horizontal distribution pipework was installed across each floor, together with isolating valves, commissioning sets, air vents, bypass arrangements and LST radiators.

Water and drainage

The domestic water installation comprised new cold water distribution from the booster set to WCs, tea points and other outlets, alongside point-of-use water heaters, associated valves, safety devices and Category 5 booster-fed supplies. PIR-linked automatic isolation valves were also incorporated where specified.

Preou also delivered the above-ground foul and condensate drainage installation, including connections to existing stacks, correctly graded horizontal drainage, rodding access points and condensate pipework serving FCUs and AHUs.

Delivery

Throughout the project, our site-based supervision and skilled, Enhanced DBS checked workforce coordinated closely with the client and other trades, delivering the works safely within a demanding building environment.
