Chilled Water Works

Chilled water cooling systems work in a similar manor to traditional air conditioning systems; however they use water, instead of air, to cool a space.

Inside each room are air handlers and inside the air handler, cold water is run over cooling coils. Air from the room gets blown over these coils by a fan, transferring the heat from the air into the water. Warm water gets sent from the air handlers back to a reservoir. When the water in the reservoir gets to a certain point, external chillers turn on and cool the reservoir down to the appropriate temperature.
