Outline of works; Building Internal Refurbishment

The LB Hackney wanted to transform the Florence Bennett Centre into a food bank for the local community. A C Preou were appointed to be the main contractor for the internal alternations.

We installed a new energy efficient boiler and upgraded the water heater.Our metal work contractor manufactured mesh ‘low surface temperature’ cases, which we fitted to the existing radiators. This made the radiators safe for all building users.

We installed a toilet and shower area, suitable for disabled users. And fitted blenders to the basins, to prevent users being scalded by the hot water.

We also installed new cabinets in the kitchen area. These are now full of groceries and toiletries which are given out to those in crisis.
