Bush Hill Park Primary School
Client: London Borough of Enfield
Bush Hill Park Primary School is a multi-building complex built in the 1800’s. It caters for approximately 470 pupils from Nursery to Year Six.
London Borough of Enfield employed A.C. Preou Ltd to refurbish both the main building basement boiler room and annexe building boiler room during the summer holidays.
Each boiler room consisted of antiquated gas fired cast iron sectional boilers with associated pumps, controls and equipment. Both boiler rooms had flue systems extending into brick chimneys which then terminated at roof level, only accessible via purpose built access scaffolding.
All existing equipment was stripped out and environmentally disposed of. All pipework was stripped out and connections left ready for the new installations.
Both boiler rooms were fitted out with new, state of the art, cascade rig mounted gas fired boilers, stainless steel flue systems, plate heat exchangers, inverter driven pumps, magnetic filters, dosing pots and all associated pipework, valves and equipment as required. Thermal insulation with flexible valve and flange mats was applied. BMS control panels and gas safety systems were installed to maximise safety and provide energy efficient control.
On completion, each boiler room was tested and commissioned. The School expressed their gratitude, explaining that they had various areas of the school buildings which have never been warm in the past, but are now all nice and hot, keeping staff and pupils happy.
That’s exactly what we at AC Preou Ltd strive to achieve.
