Belvedere House, Kensington, London
Outline of works; Replacement of existing boilers
Belvedere House is a hostel in Kensington, London, catering for students and interns. We worked with Fowler Martin Consultants to carry out the mechanical services installation. The 3 existing modular gas fired boilers needed to be removed along with all pumps, flues, boilers & pipework in the plant room. As Belvedere House was occupied at all times, removal works had to be undertaken out of peak hours. This was to minimise any disruption to the services to the residents.
Once all the enabling & removal works had been completed, we could begin to install the new Broag Quinta Pro gas fired condensing boilers with new boiler shunt pumps and flues. We arranged CCTV survey of the flue from boiler to chimney pot.
The old electrical controller was also replaced with an I-Sense controller, with external air temperature sensor to allow for automatic control as well as manual.
